History of Team Care
In 2002, Dr Anderson was caught in the vice of lower revenue, longer hours, and the
feeling that he was unable to provide the kind of care that he had in the past.
In 2003, he turned his family practice around through the use of the Team Care model,
redesigning the workflow in his practice and elevating the nurses’ responsibilities.
The results have been extraordinary. The Team Care approach has dramatically improved
the quality of care, documentation, financial performance, and the doctor’s and
nurse’s professional satisfaction.
Having healed his own practice, Dr. Anderson went on to develop a handbook
and DVD as well as a detailed curriculum for both doctor and nurse training ideal
for practices, both large and small. The Company has been contracted by the US Army
Medical Command to implement the disruptive innovation of Team Care at 21 of the
Army’s newest community based primary care clinics. To build upon this success,
the Company is developing software apps, on-line nurse training modules and implementation
support products to make the transition to Team Care easier and more effective.
